RAIL Asia 2018 attracts record attendance




RAIL Asia Expo 2018, co-located with the RISE Symposium, welcomed a record audience of 2,896 trade professionals and an 86% international exhibitor ratio to its 4th edition staged at the Makkasan Airport Rail Link Expo Halls in Bangkok and expanded its representation from throughout its international target market countries.

Staged from 28 to 29 March, the exhibition and conference was Presided over by H.E. Dr. Pailin Chuchottaworn, Deputy Minister of Transport, with the additional support of the Ministry of Science & Technology, NSTDA, OTP, the Thai Railway Engineering Association (TREA) 18 local and international trade industry organisations.

Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore posted the strongest growth, as Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, India and Indonesia continued their rise in attendance. New international growth-market to the exhibition came from Cambodia, Myanmar and also the Middle East. In total there were trade visitors from 25 countries accounting for 32% of attendees. Thailand was represented from throughout 34 provinces.
